Camphor Oil 21. Camphor Oil : (Cinnamomum camphora) – Camphor oil is extracted by steam distillation from the chipped wood, root stumps and branches. It is then rectified under vacuum and filter pressed. It is native to China. The oil is almost colorless and has a strong camphorous odor. It is used in pain balms, pharmaceuticals and aromatherapy in a very small concentration.
Caraway Oil 22. Caraway Oil : (Carum carvi) – The oil is steam distilled from the seeds of Caraway. It is native to France. The oil is pale yellow in color and has a strong spicy peppery odor. It is used in flavors, aromatherapy and pharmaceuticals.
Carrot Seed Oil 23. Carrot Seed Oil : (Daucus carota) – The oil is steam distilled from the seeds of Daucus carota. It is cultivated in the Himalayan region in India. The oil is deep yellow in color and has a warm, sweet, herbaceous and woody odor. It is used in cosmetics, perfumery compounds and pharmaceuticals.
Cassia Oil 24. Cassia Oil : (Cinnamomum cassia) – The oil is steam distilled from the leaves and branches of Cassia plant. The oil is pale yellow to yellow in color and had a strong cinnamon like odor. It is also called Chinese Cinnamon. Cassia is grown in India, China and Vietnam. It is used in flavors, pain balms, perfumery and pharmaceuticals.
Cananga Oil 25. Cananga Oil : (Cananga odorata) – It is steam / hydro distilled from the plant of Cananga odorata. The plant is grown in Indonesia and China. The oil is yellow to orange in color and has a pleasant floral odor similar to Ylang Ylang Oil. It is used in perfumery compounds, cosmetics and aromatherapy.
