1. Ajowan Oil : (Trachyspermum ammi L.) - The oil is steam distilled from the seed of Ajowan. It is native to India. It contains 40 to 55% of thymol. The oil is pale yellow in color and has a characteristic thymol & spicy odor. It is used in flavoring and pharmaceutical industries.
2. Ashwagandha Oil : (Withania somnifera) – The oil is expressed from the dry roots of Ashwagandha. It is cultivated in India. The main constituents of ashwagandha are alkaloids and steroidal lactones. Among the various alkaloids, withanine is the main constituent. It is used in ayurvedic medicines, aromatherapy and massage oils.
3. Anise Oil : The oil is steam distilled from seed of anise. It is native to India & China. The oil is colorless to pale yellow in color and has sweet licorice odor. It is used in perfumery, flavors & pharmaceuticals.
4. Angelica Root Oil : (Angelica archangelica) – The oil is steam distilled from the dry roots of Angelica. The root is collected from the wild forests in India & China. The oil is yellow to orange brown in color and has a fresh, woody & herbaceous odor. It is used in pharmaceuticals and aromatherapy.
5. Ambrette Seed Oil : (Abelmoschus Moschatus) The oil is steam distilled / solvent / Co2 extracted from ambrette seeds. The seeds yield about 0.1% oil. The plant is cultivated in India. The oil is pale yellow in color and has a musky odor. It is used in perfumery and pharmaceuticals.
